Age UK Winchester is a local charity providing support for older people, their families and their carers, in Winchester and the surrounding area.We depend on volunteers, grants, donations, fundraising and the support of the local community to provide services for the older people of Winchester and the surrounding area. We are affiliated with Age UK the national charity and work closely with the Age UK shops in Winchester and Alresford. Our mission is to promote the welfare of older people within Winchester District. We aim to improve quality of life for older people by offering services that will give practical help, advice, regular care service, mental stimulation etc, in an attempt to combat social isolation and exclusion. Age UK Winchester’s services act as a much-needed staging post between isolation of older people in their own homes and full day care. We also provide a vital information link to the councils in gaining the views and concerns of older people in this area.
