The Alaska Department of Natural Resources reserves the right to restrict or remove any content that is deemed in violation of this social media comment policy or any applicable law.
We ask that you follow our posting guidelines below. If you do not comply, your message may be removed.
Comments containing any of the following forms of content will not be allowed:
1) Profane, sexually explicit content or links to sexually explicit content, graphic, obscene, explicit, or racial comments or submissions; nor do we allow comments that are abusive, hateful, or potentially libelous content that promotes, fosters or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation.
2) Solicitations or advertisements and/or comments not topically related to the particular social media article being commented upon. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial, or non-governmental agency and solicitations of commerce.
3.) Personal attacks or threats, plagiarized material, copyright violations or spam.
4.) Comments suggesting or encouraging illegal activity.
5.) Comments related to campaigns or elections, as Alaska law prohibits use of State equipment or resources for campaign or partisan political purposes.
6.) Information (i.e., images, links or executable programs) that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems.
7.) Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party.
