Alta Pacific Mortgages & Investments operates a Mortgage Investment Corp (MIC) and has offices in BC (Vancouver) and Alberta (Edmonton). Investors in Alta Pacific MIC place registered funds (e.g. RRSP) or cash into the corporation's mortgage "pool" and then select whether to receive their return by monthly cash dividend, or share re-investment. Our fund's target rate of return to investors is 7%+ and we have achieved this target since operations began in 2007. Our mortgage pool is used to fund "specialty" mortgages (short term - e.g. 1 year - 1st and 2nds) to Western Canadians with residential and commercial properties.
