Description
We offer classes that fit into people's real lives, at an affordable cost, taught by knowledgeable peers. Austin is full of interesting lectures, but there's often no follow-up and no opportunity to meet and talk with the other attendees (who often have just as much to offer as the presenter). AUGS offers you the chance to delve deeper into these topics and make connections with like-minded people. Each course meets weekly, for 1.5-2 hours, over the course of a month, and we go out and socialize after the first and last classes. We believe the new face of education will be participatory + consensual, instead of hierarchical + compulsory. Everyone is a learner and everyone is a teacher. NEVER STOP LEARNING! Our mission is provide a venue to share important knowledge within a community of life-long learners.
