Ballarat Cancer Care was started in 2012 by Oncologist, Dr Craig Carden. In mid 2013, Dr Carden was joined by Associate Oncologist, Dr Heather Francis and Dr Adam Friebe, Haematologist. In 2014, Ballarat Cancer Care welcomed Palliative Care Physician Dr Penny Cotton and counsellor, Ms Natalie Lanyon to the team. Ballarat Cancer Care (BCC) is located in the historic Bailey’s Mansion at St John of God Hospital, offering a unique and special environment for a private oncology practice. Being in close proximity to St John’s and the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC), facilitates the strong links between the practice and both oncology services. We aim to create a premier oncology and haematology service for patients with cancer and blood disorders incorporating: A knowledge base and clinical practice based on cutting edge research; A streamlined and personal service for our patients; together with A collaborative and integrated approach to our practice within the community. Our administration staff Corrina and Steph work closely with us to assist you with the organisation and administration of your appointments. They are willing and able to support you and our Dr’s in anyway possible, so please don’t hesitate to let them know what we can do to help.
