Description

What is a Barcraft? A Barcraft is an event held in a local pub or bar concurrent with a major Starcraft 2 championship or event in which the pub/bar stream the Starcraft matches on their TV's rather than the usual conventional sports such as Football or Hockey. Barcraft was born from a desire to see E-sports, in this case professional Starcraft, become more mainstream in North America. To do this Starcraft fans began organizing Barcrafts over various social media sites such as Facebook and Reddit in order to bring the game into the public eye. Our mission is to strengthen and grow the existing E-sports community in Calgary, through organizing and running epic events.

General Info

What does one do at a Barcraft? Drink and watch Starcraft with a bunch of other sick nerd ballers! Can kids come? Seeing as Barcrafts are held in a bar you need to be of legal drinking age to attend, in our case that means that nobody under the age of eighteen will be able to attend. Does it cost anything to attend? As of right now the only cost associated is that of the drinks provided by the bar. There is no upfront cost to attend however.
