Barrie is home to a growing diverse population and it is with this in mind that Barrie Pride has been formed. It’s time for a pride celebration organized and facilitated by representatives of the local LGBTQ2SA community. Come on out and show your pride! Barrie Pride exists to celebrate the history, courage, diversity and future of Barrie’s LGBTQ2S+ communities.

Crisis response program providing immediate short-term crisis intervention. Help is available through all programs in English and French, 24 hours per day "Funding for this Program is provided by the Government of Ontario" Barrie and Area VCARS is a non-profit community-based charitable organization providing service to local communities since 1996. The agency works in conjunction with our local police partners including Barrie Police Service, Midland Police Service, South Simcoe Police Service, and the Ontario Provincial Police detachments for Collingwood, Huronia West, Southern Georgian Bay, Nottawasaga and Barrie. Our program is a crisis response program providing immediate short-term crisis intervention through emotional support, practical assistance, and information and referral to other community agencies for longer-term help.
