We are specialists in dealing with school attendance difficulties. Over 20 years' experience dealing with children and adolescents with social, emotional and behavioral difficulties. Our approach involves a comprehensive assessment of the child's school attendance problem followed by effective targeted treatment. This includes child, parent and school interviews. A return to school plan is then negotiated between all parties. A combination of child, parent and school sessions are held which focus on the barriers to school attendance. Family sessions can also be helpful if and when required. Support and follow up is offered to maintain school engagement over time. Medicare will rebate approx 50% of the $150 session fee if you have a mental health treatment from your GP.
