I like to connect with every single one of my clients & likers and hope to leave you feeling open and comfortable when I am a part of you special day! So I feel I should tell you a little bit about myself and how I got to where I am today... A lot of people are very surprised to hear that I have not undergone any formal training in the makeup industry. My professional skills purely come from a love & devotion for all things makeup & beauty and a determination to succeed in doing what I absolutely adore. Through high school I began experiencing with makeup as most teenage girls do, I discovered how many wonderful looks I could create with eyeliner and lipstick alone. In 2006 I had a bad experience with a company in Cairns having my makeup done for my year 12 graduation that left me completely devastated and with no other option then to re-do my makeup myself. I started to take the compliments on my work a little more seriously after that night. After graduation I worked in several different jobs saving to send myself to makeup school. I watched endless tutorials, researched the art of makeup and as everyone does, I had to start somewhere. I began doing makeup for formals and graduations to see if this was the right direction to take. I was the makeup & hair artist for several photo shoots and this is where I began building up a profile for myself and around the time I realized I wanted to make my dream a reality... and do it all on my own! In the beginning of 2013, I launched Beauty Call Cairns! I invested a lot of my time & money into putting together a professional makeup kit using only the best of products, which is why I chose one of the most known makeup products around the world - MAC. I also choose to use synthetic makeup brushes that are as beautifully soft as the real animal hair. In July of 2013 I took on my very first wedding. I had numerous compliments on my work through the bride & her party, guests & photographers... this gave me all the confidence I needed to be in this industry and I knew I would succeed! I realized my dream was to be one of the most renowned makeup artists in Cairns with some of the most affordable prices, being 100% self-trained. In just over a year I have been absolutely blessed to be a part of so many weddings, photo shoots & other special events that have given me so much more than I would have ever expected. I offer a complete mobile service in makeup & hair - so save yourself the trouble of running around to appointments... with all travel fees included in the price, I will come to you between Edmonton & Palm Cove. I also take on clients in the Atherton Tablelands, Port Douglas & Innisfail regions with affordable travel rates. ~ Makeup is $70 which includes the application of individual false eye lashes which I provide. ~ SFX makeup $90 (Halloween & Other) ~ Hair starts at $40 depending on style. I do a range of different styles in makeup from simple & natural to a more dramatic look. My aim is to get you looking your dream self! Often I get shown a picture at time of appointment and we just take it from there.. I will work with you to create the look you hope for. xo Dani'Elle
