Hi i am Melanie & I am the creator and artist at Beyond the Willow Tree.After the birth of my 3rd baby in May 2013 i felt so inspired by my own empowering birth i wanted a way to celebrate. In September 2013, after discussion with a midwife friend of mine i decided to step into the world of art and create amazing breast milk & placenta artistry. I began making small keep sakes which have now grown into placenta and breast milk jewellery, from rings, earrings, lockets and European beads. I have a passion for women and the birthing process and love to create pieces in which celebrate a woman in this wondrous time of her life. Classic Pendants Every pendant is made by hand with love & all pieces are 100% waterproof with a permanently attached silver bail to ensure your piece will not be lost. How long does it take to create Each of my pendants are hand crafted. There are many steps in creating these pieces including a 3 day drying period. Currently we have a 6-8 week lead time. Please let me know if you require a rushed order & i will see if i can have your item finished sooner When posting Milk, placenta or ashes to me please ensure You have your name clearly marked on your package. You have written on a piece of paper your name and what your order is, for easy cross referencing. You mark if you have desired to change your order or add anything on so i am able to get in contact you prior to setting your piece How to Prepare and send Breast milk/Ashes/Placenta How to send Breast milk I will need around 30ml of your breastmilk per 1-3 pieces depending on size. The best way to send this is to express in to a small container or a ziplock bag. If your using a ziplock bag, please pop the milk into a second or third ziplock bag to ensure if there are leakages of the 1st bag the breastmilk won't leak out and be lost. I advise the bags to be taped over at the top to ensure safe delivery.
