Bliss Yoga is a community focused yoga business centred on building interconnections within and between people; though yoga, meditation and an exploration of the body-mind being. Established in 2014 by Marian Baird, after several years practicing in the field, Bliss Yoga is all about guiding you gently to a more liberated, mobile and joyous space, regardless of your current state of flexibility. Classes are held at the Bliss Yoga Laneway Studio, 34 Doveton St Ballarat. Bliss Yoga also comes to your school, workplace or residential facility for group classes or private bookings. Cost: General Class: $17 / $15 concession Meditation: $8 Yoga NIdra: $5 Bliss Yoga honours the philosophical and spiritual underpinnings of the 8 Limbs of yogic tradition, and provides a warm, welcoming space for those who wish to deepen their practice within this tradition. Meditation classes explore the present day experience of living the Yamas and Niyamas, balancing the chakras and clarifying the body, mind and being. Our classes and workshops cater for people with previous yoga experience, was well as newcomers; seniors, prenatal women and children. We also provide a non-judgemental environment for people looking to improve their well-being and general fitness. Marian Baird is a qualified and experienced yoga instructor. She completed her 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training with Byron Yoga Centre in 2011, attaining Yoga Teacher Certification in Asana, Pranayama, Meditation and Yogic History and Philosophy. Marian has also completed teacher trainings in Prenatal Yoga (Janice Clarefield, Urban Yoga, Canada) and Children’s Yoga (Rainbow Kids’ Yoga), as well as online studies in the Anatomy and Physiology of Yoga (Yoga Synergy, Simon Borg Olivier). In addition to her formal qualifications, Marian has maintained a regular yoga practice for over 15 years, and keeps her skills current with regular trainings and seminars. Marian is committed to yogic practices that reduce stress and promote well-being, for the whole being.
