Blues Child began in October 2012 focusing on the market scene all around the Hunter Valley, Newcastle and Central Coast area of NSW. In May 2014 I am very excited to open the doors to Blues Child retail space located at 419 High Street, Maitland NSW 2320. In our retail space you will find unique Children's clothing, giftware & toys. Supporting Australian businesses, fair-trade, and happy people with happy products from around the globe is very important to what we would like the Blues Child branding to represent. Although we have had to put our focus purely into the retail space you will still find us strolling around from a customer perspective at Sacred Tree markets the 3rd Sunday of every month as we are big believers in staying true and loyal to our beginnings.. Ganga Ma & Penny have provided a beautiful market consisting of artisans, boutique stalls, live music, amazing food, healing and a relaxed atmosphere where you can spend the day and get lost amongst this beautiful market. The name Blues Child was inspired by a close family friend that has always nick named my Mum (Jeanette) Blue and myself (Kristy) Little Blue due to our red hair ;-) After a lot of ideas for a name flying around the room and wanting something that represents both of us we felt this was a perfect combination that not only represents us but also a life long friendship with this family.
