Boys and Girls Club of Kingston & Area Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life. The Boys and Girls Club of Kingston & Area provides a safe place in a caring environment that offers a variety of programs which contribute to healthy child development. We offer sports, recreation, arts, social, educational, homework, leadership and other programs in Kingston, Ontario. All programs are offered at a low cost to members. We also provide free nutritious meals to members every night. Our staff and numerous volunteers serve as role models for our children. Our primary role is to run an after-school program during the school year. We also offer outreach programs in several different locations throughout the City, and we run summer day camps. Our after-school programs run weeknights from 3:00pm to 8:00pm during the school year. On average around 100 children and youth participate in the Club every night. Our outreach locations include: St. Patrick’s Catholic School, Rideau Heights Public School, Cataraqui Wood's Elementary School, and in Gananoque Linklater Public School.
