The Reading Clinic provides literacy assessments and tutoring as well as numeracy tutoring for children and adolescents in the Niagara Region.
Reading Support Program To improve their reading and writing skills, children may attend the Reading Clinic’s Reading Support Program for one-on-one tutoring. Each client works with a literacy tutor, who is a senior undergraduate or graduate student specializing in education and supervised by the Clinic Director. Tutors are current or past students of the Reading and Literacy Development course where they learn about, and enhance their understanding of the reading process and learn effective reading instruction. Tutors use a variety of research-based teaching procedures to help their clients improve their reading and writing skills. Math Support Program To improve their math skills, children may attend the Reading Clinic's Math Support Program for one-on-one tutoring. Each client works with a numeracy tutor, who is a senior undergraduate or graduate student specializing in education and supervised by the Clinic Director. Tutors are typically past students that have tutored at the Reading Clinic. Reading Support Programs and Math Support Programs typically begin in September and January and are 9 weeks in length. In addition, there is often a Reading Support Program and Math Support Program that begins in May and is only 5 weeks in length. Client Fees One session per week for the term: $180 Two sessions per week for the term: $300

The festival nurtures the creation of new work, showcases talent, encourages innovation, offers learning opportunities for youth and provides intimate and uncommon platforms for audiences to experience work by contemporary performing and literary artists, musicians and media artists. In the Soil is Niagara's homegrown arts festival and is working to make a Niagara that is self-determining and culturally distinct.
