Description

Carolyn completed her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology (Human Kinetics) at St. Francis Xavier University in 2007; and she went on to complete her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (graduated with honors) in 2012. She spent her time in Europe training with professional, and semi-professional athletes, and their medical staff, gaining sport physiotherapy experience. Carolyn is now a Registered Physiotherapist in Ontario by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, and a member in Excellent standing with the CPA. Carolyn continued to advance her skills in Atlanta Georgia at Emory University School of Medicine, focusing her training on vestibular therapy; Advanced Vestibular Certification in Philadelphia with Dr. Richard Clendaniel, as well as Concussion Management Certifications (ImPACT Trained Physical Therapist) in Pittsburg PA. She is also certified in Medical Acupuncture, and intensive Craniosacral Therapy. She continues to advance her knowledge in vestibular and central neurological disorders with concussion-based courses, as well as advanced vestibular-based therapy training. Carolyn has focused her rehabilitation philosophy on concussion, and vestibular based therapies, as well as sports injury rehab. Carolyn continues to complete several professional development courses in order to continue to grow as a therapist, and hopes to complete her Ph.D in Rehabilitation Science, in the coming years at McMaster University.
