"Reconnecting your life" Following a concussion or brain injury, the network of connections between brain cells is changed resulting in slowed thinking, distractibility, memory issues, behavior changes and physical problems. Our treatment team works to reconnect those pathways using a customized approach based on the strengths and challenges of the person designed to enhance neurological recovery or create strategies to overcome persisting deficits. Strategies for lifetime management are created to achieve independent functioning at home, at work and in the community. As neurologic injuries also disconnect the person from their former roles as student, worker, parent, friend, spouse, etc, CNS works to reconnect the person to those vital links as well. At CNS, our treatment team has extensive experience in treating those with brain injuries and concussions having seen over 5000 patients (men, women and children) since opening our doors in 1991.
