Description

We're a member-owned natural foods cooperative in the heart of Seattle dedicated to sustainability, community, and local food. We're a business that belongs to the people who use it - people who have organized to provide themselves with the food and goods they need. But you don't have to be an owner - anyone can shop co-op! In this age of risky, mass-produced food and economic uncertainty, Central Co-op continues to hold a place not occupied by conventional food retailers. The co-op provides our communities with good, affordable food while strategically aligning with grassroots organizations to forge meaningful social and environmental change. The co-op proves that communities can make and sustain institutions that meet their needs. * * * * * * * * * * Sign up for our monthly e-newsletter, the Central Beet: http://centralcoop.coop/index.php?page=alias-4 OWNERSHIP Central Co-op owners benefit economically from co-owning a successful business, have access to educational and skill-building opportunities, and participate in shaping the direction of the co-op through our owner-elected Board of Trustees and Nominating Committee.
