Description

It all started with a school project. We needed to create a hypothetical start-up for our course. We new that we wanted to bring music to people, somehow, somewhere. After a lot of digging, pounding the pavement and interviews we discovered that people really wanted to make music. That was obvious, but they weren't making it. Why? People didn't have the time. They all said they couldn't commit to lessons every week. We discovered we needed to make a casual, music making experience. The Drop In was born. We are Graduate students at Wilfrid Laurier University in the Master of Arts in Community Music Program. We are musicians, we are scholars, we are facilitators, and we love our community. The Drop in will happen every Tuesday from 6:30pm-8:00pm at Wilfrid Laurier University. We'll change up location every once in a while, but for the most part we'll keep it in the Faculty of Music in the John Aird Building. Sometimes we'll move it to the Science Building, maybe the Conservatory on Lester St., maybe even the Concourse. I
