Description
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to make music. That’s why the Community Music School of Waterloo Region provides music lessons to children and youth in the Kitchener-Waterloo community who would otherwise not have access to musical training. Located in The Beckett School at Wilfred Laurier University, CMSWR works to create an engaging and joyful space for individuals to grow, explore, and connect through shared passion for musical arts. Our method of teaching is inherently relationally based; teachers in the program are practicing musicians who teach with a commitment to sharing in the personal journeys of their students. Lessons are offered on a variety of instruments, with the majority of students studying guitar, piano, and voice. CMSWR is a program of Lyrical Lines Education Network Inc. Lyrical Lines Education Network builds community through the support and facilitation of accessible musical experiences in Waterloo Region.
