To all our Sunday customers - tomorrow, Sunday 2nd Feb, our kitchen will be closing at 5pm instead of the usual 7.30pm as our belated Christmas staff party is taking place tomorrow night and our chefs need time to make themselves presentable. The quiz is still on as usual from 8pm and the lovely people from the Dyke are coming in to man the bar in our absence.

Since it's already September (how on earth did that happen?) and the schools are heading back etc etc we're looking at Autumn at The Connaught and felt it was only right to keep you up to date with what we're doing. We have started doing our fantastic bar snacks menu again for people who don't want a full meal or maybe want to get a few different, smaller bites while having a pint. Choose from: Beef chilli nachos w/ cheese, sour cream & guacamole £8 Bowl of Sticky hoi sin pigs in blankets £4 Marble Chilli cheddar bon bons (v) £4 Southern fried chicken wings w/ blue cheese aioli £6 Chipotle & turtle bean chimichanga w/ smoked cheese, tomato salsa & sour cream (v) £8 Veggie kofta & spring rolls w/ sweet chilli & mint yoghurt dip (v) £8 Broccoli & macaroni cheese (v) £5 Thursdays are still Steak Night where you can choose your cut of meat, weight, side and sauce to make it just how you want it. Breakfast will still be available on Saturday mornings from 9am to 12pm but not on weekdays any more as everyone is back to boring old work or school again! But most importantly, due to the massive success of our prosecco Fridays we will be extending their run until the end of October! So you can still come down and enjoy half price bottles of prosecco (only £13.50) all day every Friday to get your weekend off to the right start.
