Corbett’s Sports, an institution in Oakville sports, has been serving teams and players in southern Ontario since 1941. Approaching the new millennium and in keeping with the retail move to specialty stores, the management felt it was time to open a stand alone team location. In 2003, Corbett’s Source for Sports was opened at 450 South Service Rd W in Oakville. An excellent location for a destination store just minutes off the QEW. This 9000 sq. ft. location offers a comfortable atmosphere with a huge selection of Hockey, Baseball, Softball, Inline Hockey, and Lacrosse products at a retail level. Corbett’s strength is our knowledge. Our staff has well over 100 years experience in both hockey and baseball. We are able to fit, service and advise on all aspects of product to help each player get the optimum performance out of their equipment. The Hockey department offers a full selection year round. We strive to have what you need in stock at any time of year. Our baseball section, in the off season, is larger at 2500 sq. ft. than most of our competitors departments are in season. As stock arrives in January and February our baseball department grows to double the size in the spring. We recognize that most sports at an elite level are 365 days a year. We know that teams are still working to perfect their game in the off season and we are here to help that process. Our team apparel division, located in house, supplies uniforms to teams, clubs and associations all over Southern Ontario. Although we deal with many associations on a large scale, we pride ourselves in being able to bring price conscious uniforms to small leagues and independent teams due to our large buying power. We have many years of experience outfitting teams and are excited to help players achieve that feeling of professionalism when they get on the game surface or have a proud fan in the stands showing the team colours. Our apparel division also services many corporate accounts for company uniforms, special events and other occasions with a wide selection from dress and work wear to t-shirts and pajamas. We have now added an in-house embroidery division which allows us to bring many of these items at an even more affordable and more expedient manner. We are very proud here at the strides we have made here at Corbett’s Source for Sports since 2003. Each year adding more leagues and associations to our team division. In 2008 we were one of the first stores to offer FBV flat bottom skate sharpening and added precision balance custom contouring to our skate service repertoire. In 2009 we increased our retail area by 2500 sq. ft. giving us the ability to show more of our inventory selection year round. Earlier this year we opened a new retail floor skate lab allowing us to give consumers even more confidence in our staffs ability to customize their fit. We are opening a football department early in 2011 and are excited for this new endeavor. Last year we supplied over 10000 uniforms and are expecting more growth moving forward.
