The premier undergraduate healthcare conference in Canada that welcomes 400 delegates across the nation to the largest conference at Queen's in November. The Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Healthcare (formerly known as the Queen's National Undergraduate Conference on Medicine) provides a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to engage in discussions and debates about the future of Canadian healthcare. Being the largest conference of its kind in the country and the largest conference at Queen's University, CUCOH brings together 400 of Canada’s top students and healthcare experts in November to historic Kingston, Ontario, at one of the country’s top research-intensive universities. The delivery of healthcare in this country is undergoing intense scrutiny that has the potential to impact aspiring healthcare professionals. Thus, particular attention is paid to developing an understanding of the intellectual and political climates of the healthcare environment in which tomorrow’s professionals will be working. This year’s conference will also address both clinical and research issues related to medicine and highlight the interdisciplinary nature of healthcare in seminars covering technological, societal, political, economic, educational and ethical perspectives In order to address the importance of research in various healthcare fields, CUCOH will host the Queen's Health Sciences Research Competition - an abstract competition open to both graduate and undergraduate students. Monetary prizes are awarded to winners in each competitor pool. CUCOH will invite experts to speak on issues in the aforementioned topics, challenging delegates to think holistically and globally. CUCOH 2017 will build on the success of last year’s conference, which attracted 375 student delegates from over ten Canadian Universities. Follow us on: Twitter - http://twitter.com/cucoh
