Curious brings the best new theatre to Denver, producing thought-provoking plays that challenge ideas, stir emotions, & leave audiences thinking for days. “No guts, no story” embodies the ethos of Curious Theatre Company. Established 18 years ago by a vanguard Artistic Company that has since grown to 27 professional actors, designers, and directors at its core. Housed in a beautiful renovated 19th century church, Curious Theatre Company works to engage the community in important contemporary issues through provocative modern theatre. In addition to the 5-6 shows we produce each season, programs like Curious New Voices (for playwrights ages 15-21) and Curious Cultural Initiative (presenting free discussions, musical performances and community-inclusive play readings) keep our old building very, very busy. "The Sanctuary" is our lush bar in the light of the building's original stained glass. And Mamie's- our back reception/rehearsal area, so named for Mamie Eisenhower who attended church here- is frequent host to special backstage events. Come visit us!
"Curious Theatre Company has established itself as one of the most creative and innovative theatre troupes in the Rocky Mountain Region, if not the country." -Governor John Hickenlooper, via The Denver Post

For the past 14 years, the HRAC has been CO's primary provider of public health information, programming, and advocacy. The Harm Reduction Action Center is the only Colorado public health agency specifically focusing on injection drug users and their sexual partners that would not otherwise have access to appropriate health education, healthcare services, and emotional support designed specifically for the needs and culture of the IDU community. Formerly known as the “Little Red House” in the West side of Denver, the Harm Reduction Action Center serves more than 1,700 people affected by injection drug-use every year. HRAC (formally known as the Harm Reduction Project/Drop-In Center) is a recognized expert in providing HIV & Hepatitis C prevention programming, using harm-reduction principles to reduce the negative consequences of drug use impacting individuals, families and the larger community. Harm reduction enables us to meet drug users "where they're at," addressing the conditions of use along with the use itself. The Harm Reduction Action Center develops personal relationships with clients, guided by compassion, mutual respect, and evidence-based solutions, empowering clients to reduce the harmful effects of marginalized lifestyles. We are located at 733 Santa Fe Drive in Denver, Colorado. We are open for client drop-in services Monday through Friday from 9am to noon.
The Foundation seeks to Replace Hate with Understanding, Compassion, and Acceptance by continuing to tell Matthew's story. The Matthew Shepard Foundation was founded by Dennis and Judy Shepard in memory of their 21-year old son, Matthew, who was murdered in an anti-gay hate crime in Wyoming in October 1998.
