The Public Health Nurses of the Durham Region Health Department want to talk to you about health! This page is geared towards parents with kids aged 0-18 years old. We will be posting content on a variety of health topics geared towards parents. You can comment, like, or share our posts and we will comment back with health information, tips, helpful resources and links to help you find accurate health information. Some of the key topics that will be featured are breastfeeding and child health, immunizations, chronic disease prevention (healthy eating, physical activity), prevention of injury and substance misuse (bike safety, car seat safety), and sexual health (birth control, sexually transmitted diseases).
