My aims; • To provide professional and quality music therapy services to enhance wellbeing, health, and functioning, and contribute to personal growth and development. • To support individuals in achieving their physical, social, emotional, and developmental goals. • To meet the unique needs of each individual through evidence-based practice and research. ----------------------------------------------- A little about me; I graduated from my Master of Music Therapy course (University of Melbourne) in March 2014 and received my official registration as music therapist from the Australian Music Therapy Association in April 2014. My clinical experience includes early intervention, working with people who have disabilities, and clinical placements in paediatric oncology in both Australia and India. ----------------------------------- Registered to provide supports for National Disability Insurance Scheme participants. ------------------------------------ What is music therapy? Registered music therapists draw on an extensive body of research and are bound by a code of ethics that informs their practice. Music therapists incorporate a range of music making methods within and through a therapeutic relationship. They are employed in a variety of sectors including health, community, aged care, disability, early childhood, and private practice. Music therapy is different from music education and entertainment as it focuses on health, functioning and wellbeing. Music therapists are committed to supporting people of any age and ability regardless of musical skill, culture or background."
