Untreated Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) can cause high blood pressure and other cardiovascular diseases, memory problems, weight gain, sexual dysfunction and headaches. Easley Dental Sleep Solutions can help bring healing and a peaceful night's sleep to our patients. • Permits normal mouth opening • Allows for speech and drinking • Safe and effective • Clinically Validated • Easily Adjustable • Custom fit • Full lip Seal • Packs and travels with ease • Warranted against breakages An oral appliance works by allowing the tongue and lower jaw to move forward which opens and stabilizes the airway. The patient must be custom fitted for an oral appliance in order for it to be effective. Over-the-counter devices are not recommended as a treatment option for snoring or sleep apnea and have been proven to not be as effective. Dr. Easley collaborates with board certified sleep medicine specialists to provide his patients with Oral Appliance Therapy. A physician must diagnose Obstructive Sleep Apnea using a sleep study. Once patients are diagnosed, Dr. Easley can fit them for an oral appliance. Dr. Easley is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and has completed special training in this area. Questions regarding medical insurance coverage....... While insurance plans vary and have different deductibles, restrictions and limitations, chances are good that a patient’s OSA treatment is eligible for insurance benefits. In general, common prescribed diagnostic and treatment procedures are covered within the limits of most insurance plans. Overnight sleep studies, CPAP, BiPAP and Oral Appliance Therapy are frequently covered by most medical insurance plans, including Medicare. Easley Dental Sleep Solutions help patients understand their insurance benefits and limitations. We can help you determine your expected co-payment and total out-of-pocket expenses, if any, and can assist you in maximizing your benefits. We will take reasonable steps to provide free-of-charge language assistance services to people who speak languages we are likely to hear in our practice and who don’t speak English well enough to talk to us about the dental care we are providing.
