Energy Sport Medicine Clinic is located inside Energy Fitness Studio in St. Catharines. Dr. Joe Pelino has been providing Chiropractic Sport Medicine, and supporting therapeutic techniques, for over 25 years. Dr. Joe is also the first Canadian and Lead instructor of ART® Active Release Techniques® since 1991, and is now the first to be trained in SRM™ Stress Relief Method™ which untwists the physical torque of mental, emotional and chemical stress. This TWIST™ is named for the anatomical effect of stress on the body and by UNTWISTING, the effect is a release to increase Nitric Oxide. This effect eliminates the stress on the mind and body. Emily Thiessen is a Certified Athletic Therapist expertly trained to rescue, treat and train professional and amateur athletes of all sports. Athletic therapists adhere to the Sport Medicine Model of care, and are most often the first to attend to the acute injury of athletes. Emily has over 6 years of experience with skills to assist all patients, athletes and weekend warriors, back to the normal desired activity or greater. Emily will integrate various manual therapies, modalities, exercise prescription and even supportive joint bracing and taping techniques. Both Joe and Emily customize each case and coordinate all methods with a personalized design to integrate with the work out and plan of exercise. Energy Sport Medicine Clinic owns and operates scientifically founded modalities which are the "best of best" and are the same standards used for The National Hockey League Alumni Association, The Niagara River Lions Professional Basketball Team.
