Description

Hi my name is Elaine Ferguson, I am an Advanced Simply Music teacher. Like many others, I have always wanted to play the piano, but never thought I was musical enough. Prior to becoming a piano teacher, I spent fourteen years building a career for myself in the corporate world as a Manager for Scotiabank. I left in 2006 in order to raise my twin boys.While on leave I heard about this breakthrough piano method from Australia, "Simply Music" and began taking lessons. After four months or so I was so impressed with the ease and sheer joy I experienced in learning how to play the piano, I made a decision that changed my life! I decided to follow my dream of owning my own business, doing something I absolutely love. I went into the teacher training program, and soon after began my new career as a piano teacher. I teach students of all ages, and abilities. I will teach students ranging in age from 6-96. I love all my students, but must admit working with seniors, and younger children holds a special place in my heart. Just seeing how much they enjoy playing the piano, and just knowing they will have music as a companion for the rest of their lives, and have wonderful memories of the whole experience are just a few of the many reasons I love this program.
