Our History First State Bank Nebraska is a full-service community bank established in 1912 as a state charter bank. The bank started in Hickman and later opened offices in Lincoln. In 2004, Wilber Co., the holding company owning Saline State Bank of Wilber, acquired First State Bank and the Bank of Yutan. In 2009, Wilber Co., also acquired Filley Bank. All four banks were merged into one bank. In May of 2010, Wilber Co., also went on to acquire two new banks, Farmers Bank of Lincoln and DeWitt State Bank. Today First State Bank Nebraska currently has 14 full service branch locations in the communities of Lincoln, Hickman, Yutan, Wilber, Hallam, Dorchester, Cortland, Firth, Filley, DeWitt, Pickrell, Western, and Waverly. They have two loan production offices, one in Lincoln and one in Valley, NE. First State Bank Nebraska has the technology to provide the latest banking products, as well as quality employees to provide excellent customer service.
