It is super exciting times for our club right now. All 4 divisions of our new facility...
"CONNECTIONS" is open! We now offer 2 facilities in Downtown Burlington that provide more fitness options under one roof. Anyone looking for an alternative approach to weightlifting for building strength, now has a variety of choices to change it up or to enhance their current regimen.
Best of all, not only can we continue to offer the very best of fitness in our existing Club for Women, but we can now offer men only and co-ed programming in THE CONNECTION. I think most of us have known for a long time that the men in our lives would find benefit and enjoyment in changing it up from "hard sloggin" with weights for every workout.
The benefits of mixing varying styles of training continue to be seen in virtually every sport, not to mention everyday life activities. Golfers are benefiting from "Pilates for Golfer", and yoga is the exercise of choice for many professional athletes including football and hockey players. Mixing movements and therapies for flexibility, strength and balance has become a mainstream approach today for improved function for people of every age!
Our club members now have to opportunity to mix it up and add a session or two per week designed specifically for husband and wife, couples or small group of friends. CONNECTIONS Pilates studio features the newest state of the art equipment for one-on-one instruction, duets, trios and small groups.
The 2nd floor Yoga studio comfortably accommodates 7 participants. It is naturally lit with double sliding doors and can be heated for "Warm Yoga" or an "outside / in class" with windows open and fresh air movement. I love this space... The ceiling is high and it feels open and bright. We are planning a variety of offerings in the Yoga studio... intro to Yoga a "Fundamentals" class, Deep Stretch, Basic Flow... To name a few. Class lengths will vary in duration depending on focus.
Our Strength & Fitness Training space is equipped for one-on-one- instruction or small groups. Coached cycling is available along with Boxing, Circuit and TRX suspension training. When we asked our resident "body" fixers... Keven (osteopath), Ashley and Claire (Athletic therapy)... "What do you need to assist with injury rehab?... Balls, bands, bikes mats and lightweight dumbbells is all we need." There is a good selection of toys to help an injured body get back on track.
