Description

I was inspired by photography quite early in life through my step father, an esteemed photographer who established the first quality post cards in Cairns in the 1980s under the name of Peer Productions. I quickly acquired my own equipment and continued to photograph everything that delighted me. My interest piqued while I was enrolled in a university photography course which required a great degree of photographic categories to be satisfied. It is here that I realised my passion fully. I enjoy being among people and capturing events with film and photography and sharing these happy moments with them later. I take great pleasure in capturing landscapes, architecture, people and animals. I have also experimented with abstract subjects. The way I view this medium is freezing moments forever in time, so I can remember them the way I experienced them when they touched me. Working in this field brings me great satisfaction, dabbling with different lights, studio set-ups and rendering time exposures to create various moods. I also enjoy post photographic processes. My filming passion has brought me the opportunity to work with some amazingly talented people. It is a perpetual learning playground with a variety of different locations, lighting scenarios, equipment requirements and subject matter.
