Description

To date, billions of used K-cups crowd our landfills. Darren Footz decided that there should be a more sustainable option without compromising taste. As the President of Granville Island Coffee, a nationally distributed coffee brand, Footz envisioned a single-serve beverage device that brewed not only a premium cup of coffee, but could also be constructed using 100% biodegradable and compostable materials. After years of research and development, he and his team developed a single serve beverage ingredient package made from sustainable materials, the G-PAK. This revolutionary invention is made primarily using molded bamboo. The invention of the G-PAK addresses K-cup’s major restrictions on sustainability. The cup’s support ring is made from InGeo. This polymer along with bamboo, are compostable, biodegradable and made from readily renewable materials.
