My name is Guil, and I'm a singing teacher with more than a decade of experience in performance, opera and classical singing! My philosophy on teaching my students is simple. I teach: All Styles For All Ages At All Stages Guil has a colourful theatrical background, performing & directing in more than 50 shows in Sydney, Newcastle & Maitland. After studying at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, some of Guil's most treasured stage memories have been playing the title roles of Sweeney Todd (MMS); The Mikado (MMS); Simon Zealot in Jesus Christ Superstar (Chatswood Musical Society); Candide (Aus Institute of Music); Joseph Bouquet in The Phantom of the Opera (Metropolitan Players) & proposing to his wife in song at curtain call of All For Your Delight (MRS). For 5 years, Guil co-directed the Maitland Jr Repertory productions with his wife Lesley. Guil lives and teaches from his home in Telarah, and enjoys woodworking, spending time with his friends, and embracing his newest role - being a dad. At $35, Singing lessons with Guil last 45 minutes, to give enough time for warmups and productive work on current pieces. Lessons are held weekly to ensure continuous improvement and engagement. Lessons are held during school terms, and discounts are available for paying for the term's lessons in advance. Lessons with Guil are lead by what you want to achieve with your singing. Whether its preparing for a role or school performance or learning some new skills for fun, Guil is very flexible and also teaches a wide range of styles.
