Description

Born in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Erin Fernande grew up in the Sudbury area and settled in Kitchener-Waterloo in her teens. She realized her talents as a hair stylist while in high school through a Co-Op class and the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program. She completed her Co-Op placement at Shear Heaven, where she was hired on as an apprentice after only one week of placement. Erin worked underneath professionals in all areas of the salon, and it was there that she found her passion, colouring. Erin worked with Goldwell Professional products, and attended many classes and conferences to build her skill set. After 2 ½ years at Shear Heaven, Erin moved to Voila Salon, an Aveda Concept salon. During her time at Voila, the salon won an award from Salon Today for being one of the top 200 salons in Canada. While at Voila, Erin focused on taking classes at the Aveda Academy and received many certificates for her work. In 2006, Erin moved to her current home at Dynamic Family Hair Care. Over the past 8 years, Erin has built a large and loyal client base, with clients all over Canada flying in to see her exclusively. She works with Schwarzkopf Professional, and in 2011 became a certified instructor for Keratin Smooth Straightening Systems and Loop N Lock Hair Extensions, teaching to stylists all over Ontario. Erin continues to attend shows and classes, and is regularly invited to VIP events within her industry. Recently, Erin has begun producing and directing photo shoots showcasing her talents in colouring and styling. When she is not working from sun up to sun down, or participating in classes, she spends her time with her partner and 2 year old son.
