Description

An initiative of the The Ansaar Project, the Halal Food Bank in Melbourne is run by the SeekersPoint Melbourne team, and aims to provide halal, nutritionally sound food to Muslims and non-Muslims in the community who are finding it difficult to make ends meet. We have also recently launched the Personal Hygiene Packs as part of the HFB initiative. The need for this service is greater than what we can provide. Without your support, this project is not sustainable. Any way that you are able to assist is appreciated. HOW CAN YOU HELP? We are seeking regular donations of halal, non-perishable food, and funding to purchase urgent supplies as needed. > DONATE FOOD: Add an extra item or two of halal, non-perishable food to your grocery shopping and donate it at your closest collection point: http://australia.ansaarproject.org/viewproject.aspx?id=10 • Run a mini drive for donations amongst your family and friends - we can arrange to pick these up from you as needed. No donation is too small! • Bring them along on the packing day > DONATE WEALTH: We encourage you to be active in the donation process by making the effort to source and drop-off the needed items, thus nurturing giving and upholding Prophetic sunnah. If, however, your preferred method of donation is still cash, please contact me for more information on how to progress. > DONATE TIME: Register as a volunteer to attend the regular packing days and/or as a driver at http://alghazzali.org/register/melfoodbank > SPREAD THE WORD: • LIKE this page and SHARE it. • Forward this message on to friends and family who may also be able to support the project. This may include business or organisations which can host a donation collection point, or even community events at which collections are made. • Contact ansaarmelbourne@alghazzali.org to discuss any queries you may have, to arrange pick up of donations, and regarding marketing products / storage containers for the collection of donations. JazakAllah for your sincere concern for others. May Allah SWT reward your intentions and efforts, ameen.

The Australian Made Campaign is the not-for-profit organisation that administers and promotes the green-and-gold Australian Made, Australian Grown logo The Australian Made Campaign is the not-for-profit organisation that administers and promotes the iconic green-and-gold Australian Made, Australian Grown (AMAG) logo. The green-and-gold Australian logo is the only registered country-of-origin certification trade mark for the full range of genuine Australian products and produce. It supports growers, processors and manufacturers in Australia by helping businesses to clearly identify to consumers that their products are Australian. At the same time it provides consumers with a highly recognised and trusted symbol for genuine Aussie products and produce. It does both of these things in conjunction with a campaign encouraging consumers to look for the logo when shopping; it has been doing this since its introduction by the federal Government in 1986. The AMAG logo can only be used on products that are registered with the not-for-profit organisation Australian Made Campaign Limited. The strict set of rules governing the logo’s use also require that it must always be used with one of five descriptors; ‘Australian Made’, ‘Australian Grown’, ‘Product of Australia’, ‘Australian Seafood’ or ‘Australian’ (for export use only). To use the logo goods must meet the criteria set out in the Australian Consumer Law as well the more stringent Australian Made, Australian Grown Logo Code of Practice. More than 2100 businesses are registered to use the AMAG logo, which can be found on some 15,000 products sold here and around the world. Australian Made Campaign Limited is located at Suite 105, 161 Park Street, South Melbourne, VIC 3205. www.australianmade.com.au
