Happy Wagz provides a service that is priceless for anyone who owns a dog - personal, in-home care, the absolute best for your dog when you can't be there. It also provides someone to watch your house - take phone messages, water the plants, etc. Dogs are a result of their environments and their behaviour depends upon the people around them and the emotion involved. Therefore they absorb any of the tension and stress found in there surroundings. Dogs that are put under extreme stress tend to express destructive behaviour as their mechanism for coping such as soiling in the house, chewing and other abnormal behaviour. A prime example of a stressor is a change in routine - particularly if you, being who they rely on for care and comfort, are gone. Going on vacation or business trip means certain stress for your dog, and likely that he or she will be placed in a kennel until your return. So not only are you gone, but your dog is not in their regular surroundings and their routine is completely changed - prime situation for stress and confusion. Happy Wagz offers personal in-home boarding for your dog(s). In your absence, the best thing for your dog is to remain in their own familiar environment, following a regular routine. This will allow for the least amount of stress possible while you're gone. Happy Wagz will come to your home and ensure the best care for your beloved pets from a passionate animal lover with extensive knowledge of care and first aid. You can go away with the peace of mind that your pets are in amazing hands. Lots of hugs and belly rubs everyday! We realize that leaving your pets and your home in the hands of a stranger will leave you with some questions. Happy Wagz sitters have police checks and excellent references that we can provide you with to put your minds at ease. Before yourself or Happy Wagz commit to anything, we insist on an initial visit to your home to meet you and your dogs and learn a little bit about them. At that time any questions or concerns you may have can be addressed. There is no charge for the initial visit. While away, Happy Wagz will provide you with daily updates and pictures via email if you so desire, updating you on everything your furry friend has gotten up to that day. During our stay, detailed logs of all activities, walks, feeding times and anything else relevant will be recorded and provided for you on your return home. This is included in the fees.
