She studied Traditional Chinese medicine, and majored in the Acupuncture at Medical University in China. After graduation, she was accepted to work in the University because of her high academic standing. Dr. Wu served both as a Professor at the University and as a Doctor in a provincial hospital for over seven years. Dr. Cindy Wu came to Canada in 1997 wanting to devote her knowledge and techniques to improve the health of Canadians. Her special techniques and treatment were soon accepted and welcomed. Her practice combines the use of Acupuncture, Acupressure, Herbal Medicine, and Therapeutic exercise, as well as Nutrition and Diet consulting. Dr. Cindy Wu believes Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (T.C.M) can help many people suffering from chronic or acute illness. Through She has been in Canada for 14 years now, she remains puzzled about a variety of Health issues facing our culture today. She baffled by the amount of pain Canadians endure due to the inability of Western Medicine to identify the causes. Her Medicine training incorporates Western and Chinese Medicine and her practical experiences have taught her that the pain which Canadians suffer is unnecessary. In China both Allopathic and Herbal Medicine complement one another creating a holist profile for a patient. One of the problems facing Canadians today is that Allopathic Doctors work separately and consequently are not able to help the patient with functional concerns. This is where Chinese Medicine is able to aid. Dr. Cindy Wu's neurological and Acupuncture training help her to see the full picture of a patient's condition. Dr. Cindy Wu explained that if a patients functional issues are allowed to persist for any length of time it will inevitably manifest into a more serious physical illness. The example she gave was one of a patient experiencing urine problems which multiple tests could not determine the problem. If the pelvis is inflamed, it will affect the bladder which doctors would be unable to identify because the Gynecologist and Urologist were working independently. Therefore, neither of them were able to see the whole picture. Dr. Cindy Wu on the other hand was able identify the inflammation and found excellent results using combination of Acupuncture and Herbals. Another example that Dr. Cindy Wu has seen in her practice is one sixteen year old client who is experienced severe stomach pains for two years. Her doctor ran multiple tests, but could not determine the cause. Calling on her extensive neurological training and using Chinese Medicine assessments, Dr. Cindy Wu was able to conclude that this situation was the result of a spinal injury caused two years previous. Neurological damage was therefore to blame for the stomach pain. With Acupuncture and Herbs were able to reverse the damage on the nervous system and therefore put an end to her clients pain.
