What materials can I donate? You can donate new and reusable home improvement materials: Accepted materials Donations are accepted seven days a week during store hours. If you are unable to fit larger items into your car or truck, you can call 250-386-7867 or email us to arrange free pick up at restore@habitatvictoria.com Retailers and manufacturers can donate end-of-line, scratch-and-dent, discontinued inventory, mis-tinted paint and customer returns to the ReStore and avoid the cost of returning them to the manufacturer. Builders and contractors: your clients can donate salvaged fixtures and building materials from renovations. Waste Reduction in Action In addition to raising funds, ReStores help the environment by diverting thousands of tonnes of usable materials from municipal landfills. Habitat ReStores across Canada diverted approximately 113,000 tonnes of waste from the landfill since 1998. Customer value Serving as a “thrift-shop” for reusable building materials, the ReStore offers a great place to purchase new and gently used home improvement materials at very reasonable prices. Check the ReStore everyday – you never know what you will find. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can I volunteer at a ReStore? Volunteers are an integral part of our Restore’s success! Consider volunteering at the ReStore, and help fund building in your local community.
