Description
Currently in our 16th year of operation, we present an annual subscription season of 5 plays, and a number of season events in our performance home the Butter Factory Theatre, Wodonga; tour regionally and nationally; operate a drama school and training program for young people; commission Australia's leading playwrights and run the national artistic residency program A Month in the Country. HotHouse Theatre is also committed to providing long term, comprehensive training opportunities for young people from our region. A new initiative in 2011 was the formation of The Studio, allowing 10 young actors, aged between 15 and 25 the opportunity to train and perform with HotHouse Theatre. This program complements our technical training program, where people receive training along side TAFE accreditation.
