Hi my name is Tarryn Culverhouse. I have been working with peoples’ bodies, as a Remedial Therapist, for over 12 years. I am a firm believer of the power in touch as a basic human need. Massage has the ability to increase well-being in our body and mind by applying skin stimulation. I have been a trainer in a massage school and a facilitator of Infant Massage workshops. I am learning research techniques as an occupational therapy student at university. Now I am applying all my knowledge to put together this massage course for couples. It brings me joy to know that people can apply these methods in their homes to increase the positive effect in their relationships. InTouch Massage Training for couples Learn how to give and receive a meaningful, deep-relaxation massage for you and your partner. By the end of your one-day training you will be able to give a full body massage with confidence. This will create a relaxing and enjoyable experience for you both. The sequence is designed for a 45 min massage, ideal for swapping and receiving in the same time period. No previous experience is needed as you are guided to perform the correct techniques, on a massage table, minimizing strain on your body. The learning experience is fun and you too will receive massage for half the time. The method is taught using traditional Swedish massage principles with breath work incorporated for relaxation of both people. Couples massage allows you both to contribute to the well-being of your relationship, with the joy of knowing that you will receive equal to giving. It is a time to stop talking and focus on the here and now, getting InTouch with each other. This one day massage training is set out in a workbook for you to take home. Course content includes; How to massage safely – the do’s and don’ts of massage How to read the body and know what tissue you are working on. Learn the different techniques and their applications How to apply these techniques in different areas of the body. Learn the 45 min full body massage sequence.
