Junior Achievement of Waterloo Region is a social profit organization that provides programs that help students to build skills in the areas of entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness. For 45 years, Junior Achievement has worked with business, education and government partners. Programs are offered to students in grades 5 -12 with the specific aim of helping young people understand money management and budgeting; giving them hands-on experience in running a small business; and teaching them a host of skills in communication, conflict resolution and critical thinking. Junior Achievement enables young people to build confidence, helping them become tomorrow’s business and community leaders.
