A beautiful Eco-Friendly Art Studio where Art making is learned in a stress free and refreshingly creative way. Artistic creativity is part of everyone's life; the experiences of art making provides a lifetime of enjoyment. Colour outside the lines! Jackalope Farm is a hobby farm located on 50 acres. We have a small flock of free range chickens, ducks, one goose. The chickens are a mix of some Dominiques, Red Chanteclair, and Americana (Easter Egg). The eggs range from brown to greenish blue. We also have a small apiary. Honey is available for sale in the fall. We also sell honey at the Perth Fair in the agricultural tent. We also have dogs, cats, bunnies, jackalopes (we’re pretty sure), and there may be faeries at the bottom of the garden! Our home is passive solar heated with wood burned in a very efficient masonry heater. Local and environmentally friendly materials were used wherever possible. The upper floor is constructed from reclaimed wood from the Rideau river. The wood siding is locally milled from white pine. We are currently working on a water reclamation system. Jackalope Farm has a large market garden where we grow vegetable and herbs without the use of pesticides. Garden produce is available as Farm gate. Call ahead to see what is in season.
