Formerly known as "The Welcome Home Addiction Recovery Academy," The John Volken Academy is an internationally-recognized residential addiction treatment centre for those between 19 and 34. Our minimum 2-year program is highly successful, offering comprehensive treatment for addiction recovery, including extensive focus on personal development & vocational training.

Description

John Volken Academy is dedicated to changing lives, for life. We work with our participants to find true freedom from addiction. Through the therapeutic community model of addictions treatment, we offer valuable job-skills training, advancement in education and personal development alongside addiction recovery. There are no program fees. For the duration of the 2 to 5 year program, all accommodations, food, sessions, training and activities are provided for free. Volken Academy is supported by the private funding of the John Volken Foundation. New participants are only asked to pay a one-time intake fee as a form commitment to the program and their recovery. Our addiction rehabilitation programs can be found in Canada and the USA. We have a co-ed facility in Surrey, British Columbia, a men-only facility in Seattle, Washington and a men-only ranch outside Phoenix, Arizona. Equal emphasis is placed on developing accountability, responsibility, leadership and communication skills. We aim to ensure that our students find new confidence and fulfillment in their lives. Our program addresses far more than just the symptom of the addiction by facing the underlying causes and giving students necessary tools to obtain lifelong sobriety. Unlike most recovery programs that only range between one to three months of treatment, The Volken Academy (formerly known as "Welcome Home") offers long-term rehabilitation lasting a minimum of two years -- what many experts believe is the required time to fully treat an addiction. Another extraordinary component to this program is that it's a non-profit charity! Privately funded by the John Volken Foundation, a $100-million foundation dedicated to the fight against drug and alcohol addiction.
