Here at the KF academy, we teach traditional martial arts to children between the ages of 5 and 14. We believe that self defence is a great skill to learn from an early age, which will be carried forward into later life. Seven Star Praying Mantis Kung Fu is a traditional martial art dating back hundreds of years. Today it is known as a fast paced, self defence. Ranging from basic movements to advanced routines. Not only do we teach martial arts, children also get the chance to learn basic mandarin. This includes; introducing themselves, and counting to 10 and onwards. Another key aspect we focus on is the chinese culture. We look at, and teach, Traditional Lion Dancing and the accompanying music. Classes Our current class is run on a tuesday evening from 19.30 until 21.00. So feel free to come along to a session and check us out. If you wish to participate, please bring appropriate clothing and footwear.
