As a young girl who was born in India and raised in Canada, she discovered she had a keen eye for beauty and imagined one day using this gift to help others look and feel their absolute best. After starting a family and considering a career in the corporate world, Kim began pursuing her childhood dream, confident as always in her ability to hurdle whatever obstacles the world might throw in her way. At a time when few South Asian women were working in the beauty industry, Kim enrolled in Blanche MacDonald, graduating as a certified makeup artist in 2000. Since then, success has vindicated her decision to follow her bliss. In addition to lending her hair, makeup, and fashion expertise to over a thousand brides on their special day, Kim’s extensive portfolio includes graduations, anniversaries, award ceremonies, special events, advertising, and photo shoots of all sorts, from maternity photos to head shots for aspiring actors and models. Kim has also worked extensively within the entertainment and fashion industries. Among her list of illustrious clients are music superstars Gurdas Maan and Amrinder Gill, celebrity designers Satya Paul and Manish Malhotra, and 2013 Femina Miss World India, Navneet Kaur Dhillon. She has also dressed models for the Times of India Film Awards, including supermodel Candice Pinto. In 2010, Kim was awarded the Wedlocks Award for Best Hair and Makeup Artist. Always learning, always challenging herself, and most importantly, always eager to help others, Kim earned her Professional Development Instructor certification in 2012 and is currently working toward a Masters Degree, hoping to pass on her vast knowledge and experience to others. Kim continues to dream big. Her future plans include expanding her flourishing business, eventually offering her own line of products and specialized salons. She also dreams of creating a comprehensive beauty and wellness industry training academy, offering personal development seminars in addition to training the next generation of industry professionals in hair, makeup, fashion, photography, floral arrangement, henna – all things beautiful. As an established and award winning makeup and hair artist internationally I am able to customize any looks for weddings, non bridal, graduations, anniversaries or even for those women who have never experienced having a professional style them from head to toe. With my years of experience I am able to bring to life any inspired looks that you as a client may have, please have a look through my portfolio as you will see that there are no two looks that are ever the same. As a young girl, I had always dreamt and had a vision of making women look and feel beautiful about themselves. After many different careers, I decided to listen to my inner self and chose to follow my dream of becoming a professional makeup and hair stylist through The Blanche McDonald Makeup Institute. Throughout the years, as I have continued to develop my craft and skills as a makeup artist, nothing has given me greater joy than when I see how my clients look and feel after they have devoted their trust in my professionalism. Seeing their confidence when they make their grand entrance and “all eyes are on them”, fulfills that dream that I once dreamt of as a little girl…
