Kinsmen Lodge is a complex care facility operating under the jurisdiction of the Whalley & District Senior Citizens Housing Society, a non-profit organization incorporated in 1961 and registered under the Society Act of the Province of British Columbia.

Kinsmen Lodge has a rich and proud history of serving Elders in the Surrey community since 1975. Our Interdisciplinary Care Team and Enhanced Care Partners, together with family and friends, ensure that each of our elders receives all of the care and services they require. We are home to 144 residents, 120 staff, 100 volunteers, 6 birds, 4 cats, 3 rabbits and a beautiful garden tended and enjoyed by all of us. We are located close to Surrey Memorial Hospital, shopping, the University, transit and lots of restaurants. Between our day trips, programs that bring in local school children, service groups, a variety of entertainment and lots of pop-ins from family and friends our elders stay connected to community. Kinsmen Lodge is as much like home as we can make it -with people who want to live life! In our home residents work, socialize, paint, garden, volunteer and worship. Together our elders have over 13,000 years of living and making a difference, so we’ve got lots of stories to share about a lot of wonderful lives! Our mission is to provide quality, holistic care to individuals in an intermediate care setting. Our focus is the person as a unique individual. Our goal is maximum independence. Our strength is caring and compassion.
