The Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters’ Guild is a non-profit organization that provides a community for knitters, to promote and celebrate our craft in the area.

Description

In October 1986, a group of knitters gathered together to form the Guild. The love of knitting continues and new members are always welcome. The Guild meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month from September to May at First United Church, located at 16 William Street West in Waterloo, Ontario. The room is wheel chair accessible and there is free parking in the Waterloo Town Square parking lot (please leave the church parking lot open for cars with disabled registrations only). Meetings usually involve a presentation by a guest speaker, a ‘show & tell’ of members’ projects, business announcements, and social time to visit each other, the library, the ‘show & tell’ items, the raffle table, and the guest speaker’s items. Meetings are a perfect time to get help with any difficulties you are experiencing with your own projects. The Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters’ Guild is a non-profit organization that provides a community for knitters: • to improve the skill and artistry of our craft • to increase the interest in, and knowledge of, knitting and related activities • to promote and celebrate our craft in the Kitchener-Waterloo area
