Krav Maga Townsville established in 2011, is the only true source of Krav Maga in the region and has been instrumental in the spreading of Krav Maga in North Queensland. We run regular classes, seminars and private tuition to all sectors of the community. Krav Maga is the most effective self defence system offered today. Krav Maga is easily learned and implemented quickly. This system is accessible to anyone interested in learning self defence techniques in aim to protect themselves and their surroundings. Krav Maga was founded and developed originally by Imi (Lichtenfeld) Sde –Or. Imi created Krav Maga for military purposes, meant to improve combat abilities of Israeli IDF soldiers in the early 50's. Over the years, the Krav Maga system was further developed by Imi to provide self defence solutions for the civil sector as well. Civilian sector – offering and teaching self-defence qualifications to adults, women, children; Each carefully adapted to match the variable needs of every sub sector. Military Sector – offering and teaching self-defence qualifications to soldiers aimed to widen their combat abilities as individual soldiers and as a part of a unit. Law Enforcement - offering and teaching self-defense qualifications to police officers and governmental units. VIP sector – offering and teaching all professional levels of Third Side protection defenses (kravmaga oriented).

After studying, I completed my teaching "country service" in Charters Towers. We moved to Townsville in 2012 and bought our house in Deeragun, where I live with my husband and our 18 month old Son. I am a Bachelor Qualified teacher with 10 years experience. I have worked in Primary and High Schools in a range of areas including: learning support, behaviour support and school administration. During this time I also completed my Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. In 2012 I completed my certificate III in Children's Services (Childcare) and went on to complete my Diploma in Children's Services (Childcare) in 2013. I also hold a Supervisors Certificate. Inspiring Minds was opened in February 2015. In addition to running my own day-care I tutor adult learners for a couple of hours per week at TAFE in the childcare curriculum. I have my Blue card and current Teachers Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers. I hold a current First Aid certificate and CPR with asthma and anaphylaxis. I usually close on Public Holidays and QLD State School Holidays (open for Student Free Days) however, I am able to negotiate a mutually beneficial schedule. Fees $8.90 per hour (inclusive of all scheme fees) An 8hr minimum daily booking applies. I am CCB/CCR approved. You may elect to pay the full fee and be reimbursed by Centrelink or authorise your Centrelink payments through Lady Gowrie.
