We take pride in looking at the world from a different perspective, seeking to capture each moment for its uniqueness. Fine Art Photographic Art printed on everything from antique plank flooring boards, glass or the classic canvass. Art for every room in your home, from a glass top coffee table to an upcycled 100 year old cabinet fashioned into a functional bar. Kristensen-Smith Photographic Art has a piece for your individual space. Principal photographer Melissa Kristensen-Smith has been involved with photography since the age of twelve when she was given her first camera. Travel and Fine Art prints are a passion. Seeing new places and faces excite her as she sees the stories each shot will tell. Having lived in Belize, Mexico and travelled extensively throughout the Caribbean these are favourite subjects. As well as a passion for classic cars and trucks, whether restored or abandoned. Her partner of twenty-five years Andre Smith, combines his talents for design and up- cycling to create furniture and decor pieces. Each piece features photographic art within one-of-a-kind functional furniture pieces. Desks, dressers, coffee tables and even bars. As a team Kristensen-Smith have always been involved in design and art. We are regulars at such shows as Art in The Park Parry Sound, Haliburton Rails End Gallery Show, Beaches Arts & Craft Show. Though our art and specialities have evolved over time we feel we have reached a new and exciting time in our work. As people change so should their art, this is why we have made a special effort to use old and up cycled materials as canvasses for our designs. Everyone should make an effort to be environmentally conscious - repurpose, reuse, recycle or rather UPCYCLE!!
