Lancaster C.A.R.E.S.is a coalition of animal welfare organizations in Lancaster PA dedicated to high standards of care. http://www.LancasterCARES.org Lancaster C.A.R.E.S. is a coalition of dedicated not-for-profit animal welfare groups working together to improve the quality of life for animals in Lancaster County. One of our organization's primary goals is to help our members have a "voice" in the animal community they so faithfully support. So often, large state and national animal welfare organizations receive the vast majority of the attention and support. These well funded organizations do valuable work and are indeed deserving of the attention they receive, but we think smaller organizations deserve to be recognized too.

Description
The proper care and treatment of animals requires an understanding of their basic needs, wants and desires. Meeting all of these creates a powerful bond between an animal and their human family. Our organization and its members work hard to make sure that people that already own a pet or are thinking about adopting one understand and appreciate the commitment they are making to these animals. The more awareness we can create in our community the more we can educate our neighbors about responsible pet ownership.
